first day of my affil.

long day. two patients. ten pages worth of notes. c6/c7 injury with tenodesis  - he was very personable considering his circumstances. i enjoyed talking with him. felt a whelm of lingering emotion after i left today. learned a lot. hearing the stories, seeing the faces, puts a reality that the textbook did not prepare me for. i was amazed at the resiliency and the dignity. i understood what he was trying to say.
chad was awesome. thus far, glad he is my C.I. hope he passes me. eheh.

i'm exhausted. i want to cry i am so tired. its only day 1. amy and i are glad we got paired together, it would have been difficult to go through this alone, we just know this is not our fave affil.  we just have to make it to next week. saw the pediatric camp today...should be fun. i also saw an emu.
