having TIME is wonderful

yesterday was the last day of class for three weeks!

i can't believe i start my first full-time affil on monday. after two weeks of affiliations, then spring break - cannot believe we are at the midway point already. do i feel prepared? honestly, NO. if i had to do it over again, i sure i would not do an accelerated program....its just too much to cram and i don't necessarily think acceleration is better now, other than the shorter time. by now, you would think after being in school 40 hours a week we'd have some mastery - but there is so much...i will just have to trust that it will all come together and if there is somethig i don't know...i just don't know. thats why i'm learning.  i'm unclear as to how the next two weeks will go, but i was really lucky to get those locations. i am so looking forward to working with the kids!! i have a backpack i'm going to fill up and bless one of them with. the reality is it is still very possible to fail level I. but lets think positive thoughts.

since the sem started, there has just been no time. felt like little white rabbit in alice, always running. although i have affils next week and have much to prepare, it felt in my mind the start of break. i reveled in that feeling and stayed in busted out and went into a painting frenzy. i had been looking forward to down time!
to do:
1) get pieces fired
2) glazed (mother o' pearl)

my fave pieces are the freehanded-lop-sided butterflies

acrylics are forgiving. underglaze not so forgiving and i don't know what the deal is with me and sunflowers lately, its not my fave flower - but i've been seeing them all over the place - saw them in the messengers movie last week (he farmed sunflowers), in commercials - and i have 2 bisque pieces and even my chips are made from frickn' sunflower oil.
